The grown up relative of the standard dog van conversion, these vehicles are normally based on a longer wheelbase van. We have built many of these for different Police forces across the UK and also for vehicle manufacturers to supply to their own customers. We have several flavours available, one of which has been successfully crash tested at Millbrook Proving Ground.
Specifications for this type of vehicle vary from several (often up to six) dog kennels, sometimes with a pull-out platform for the dogs to jump on (and officers to stand on) along with storage and welfare facilities for the officers. The welfare facilities that we provide include seating, tables, microwaves, fridges, heating systems, hand washes, wash basins, drying areas etc.
All our dog training kennel units come with an acoustic bulkhead, emergency escape hatches, Large capacity kennels (DEFRA/RSPCA approved) and normally lots of storage for the training equipment. We would always advocate a separate air-con unit be fitted to this type and size of vehicle.
With the benefit of our own in house design facility we can ensure that we maximise vehicle space to provide adequate kennel space within the conversion. The pull out platform doubles up as a support mechanism to carry officers and dogs whilst providing storage for training aids.
The kennel unit can be constructed from aluminium or polypropylene depending on user preference. We have a number of options for emergency doors which can either be sliding, drop down, electronic etc.
